Madamn Julia

I usually post pictures of our kids here at our Love A Child Children’s Home but tonight, I wanted to share this story…

This is Madamn Julia. She is a poor Haitian mother whose husband left her with five kids, ranging from 19 down to age one. She had found shelter on the porch of someone in Miracle Village. She came to our gate often, to ask for food, which we gave her. She came to us last week crying, saying that the family who owned the house is “kicking her and her children from the porch.” She had no place to go…

We found an empty tin house on our Love A Child property where one of our workers used to live. We moved her and her children in, until we could get them a home. We took clothes over to them, by one of our partners, Anna King!

Anna (and maybe friends) bought brand-new clothes for the children in honor of some of our “War Heroes,” many of whom dated way back! They were men who had served in wars to keep our country free. We looked at the handwritten tags which said, “Memory Clothes Donated” and then the names of our war heroes. We have never had any clothes donated in this manner… the clothes were all new!!

We will be sharing more of these “Memory Clothes,” donated in the names of our heroes! Anna, thank you with all our hearts!! What a wonderful “Memory Gift!!” We will be going to an orphanage tomorrow with more “Memory Clothes!” God bless you, Bobby and Sherry

P.S. The last little boy is Omar, a child of one of our workers, who just happened to be in the right place at the right time!!
