When we first started our Malnutrition Program, we had no idea how successful it would be and how many lives would be saved. This is little Widensley Bonheur. He is 21 months old, and when he first came, he weighed 7.6 lbs., about the weight of a newborn baby!
His mother, Mirlande, had three children, but she lost two of them. They are from Gallet Chambrun, a couple of miles from us. He was cared for in our Malnutrition Center, and he is getting ready to leave. (He doesn’t like having his picture taken, but you can see the difference in him!)
Now, his mother is being taught by the nurses how to feed him, and they are giving him special foods to take with them. He will be back in two weeks for his check-up and to see if his mother is doing “exactly” what our nurses and doctors have told her!
When she first brought in her child, she was so nervous and sad and thought she would lose another baby. But our staff took such good care of this little one and now, we can see the difference! We just wanted to thank Joyce Meyer Ministries – Hand of Hope, for sponsoring the cost of this Malnutrition Center, and we thank all of those who help sponsor this clinic monthly!
God richly bless you,
Sherry
