Manna Packs…a Wonderful, Nutritional Meal

As we have explained to you yesterday, Haiti can only produce 5% of the rice needed to feed its population. This is why, for over 17 years, we have been partnering with Feed My Starving Children to help feed the Haitian children and save lives. You may be wondering what is inside the FMSC meals?

This is a special meal for malnourished children that contains protein, vitamins, and minerals that can be deficient in the diets of “third-world country” children. Each package contains rice and an assortment of nutritious vegetables. It also contains Vitamin D, Calcium, Iron, Potassium, Vitamins A, C, E, as well as Thiamin, Riboflavin, Niacin, and Vitamin B6. It also contains Folate, Vitamin B12, Biotin, Pantothenic Acid, Phosphorous, Iodine, Zinc, Magnesium, Copper, and Manganese. This has been designed by renowned nutritionists and scientists in the U.S. Chicken flavoring is added and this food cooks up to a hot meal in just 20 minutes. We have noticed that many children who have the “red hair” from malnutrition, that their hair begins to change to black after being on this special nutritional food. FMSC also offers Potato D for children with diarrhea, and Potato W, a weaning product for children 7-12 months old, which we also use.

All Haitians love this food! We want to thank Feed My Starving Children and all of our partners who sponsor this food to come into Haiti, especially at a time like this. Without your help, this would not be possible to feed and help these starving children. Thank you, Bobby and Sherry
