Love A Child has a great burden for taking care of “the hungry, the thirsty, the sick, etc.” (Matthew 25:35) And when it comes to taking care of the sick and those who are too poor or too remote to get even the most basic health care, Love A Child relies upon our donors’ compassionate and generous hearts, and also on partners such as MAP International. Yesterday, MAP International loaded a 20’ freight container for us with over $6.8 million worth of very valuable medicines that will help us serve the underserved poor populations of Haiti. Without these life-saving and life-giving medicines from MAP International, we could not provide health care to as many people as we do. Throughout the year, more than half of the critical medicines we use come from MAP International donations. The rest comes from donations from our donors who understand the need and who are obediently responding to the imperative found in Matthew 25:35. We thank everyone at MAP International for diligently fulfilling their world-wide mission of providing medicines and health supplies to those in need around the world. MAP’s staff loads the container in their offices in Brunswick, Georgia, and we rely on our donors to donate funds to ship the medicines to us in Haiti, and ultimately into the “regions beyond” where the patients are desperately needing them.
