We love “Joker,” our Love A Child mechanic here in Haiti! He usually has a pile of “junk cars,” “our heavy equipment,” our trucks, and everything else you can think of underneath the shade trees in back of our carpenter’s shop! Joker and his brother Tony, are from the Dominican Republic. They have several other Haitians helping them, but they are usually covered with grease, and “under something” fixing it! Joker has to keep up our trucks that have been “beat to death” over the mountain roads of Haiti, and our diesel generators, and our Troop Carrier that hauls our teams into the mountains, and much more!!! We love Joker and all his workers!!! Someday, we hope to build a “real mechanic’s shop” for Joker, but for now, he is usually “under the shade tree” in back of the carpenter’s shop! Sherry
