Thank you, everyone, for responding to our call for Birthing Kits. These items mean so much to new mothers. It is a blessing to have the sterile items for births in their mud hut in the mountains. Here is a list of what goes into the Birthing Kits. For the diapers, you could just buy a small pack or use one pack for more than one kit. We only need two diapers and two pads in each kit, as well as one small new baby blanket, and one outfit or “onesie” and the other items on the list.

Birthing Kits:

(Please send items inside a pillowcase.)

• One newborn outfit (a “onesie” and stocking hat)
• Feminine pads and two receiving blankets
• Small plastic basin and a bar of soap
• Single-edged razor blade
• Two 10” long pieces 1/16” cotton cord
• Disposable newborn diapers and one cloth diaper
• Absorbent underpads
