To all our friends and prayer partners, our children and employees have still not been released by the gangs. Two different gangs are fighting for control of the area between us and the next major town. Today, as I was walking and praying and thinking about our kidnapped Haitian children and Haitian workers, I felt the weight of the world on our shoulders… Pistache is studying journalism in college, little Fabienne is in her third year to become a dental hygienist, Lovely wants to go to college to be an attorney to “defend the poor,” and Roselyne is studying to be a doctor. They have all had a “dream” since they were small. Ten days ago, along with a truckload of our Haitian employees, they were kidnapped on their way home to us.

As I walked this morning, I looked up to the sky and felt that God had taken this heavy load. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:9) We know the Lord will free the captives and bring them home to us soon.
