I can remember the day well, when I first saw him! He was from the mud hut village of “Old Letant.” We had guests from “Feed My Starving Children” visiting us at Love A Child. We decided to visit the Old Letant village, because we had given them food and had Mobile Medical Clinics there! I wandered through the village until I came across a tiny little boy, “sitting on his knees,” in the hot sun. His mother had picked him up by one arm and “dumped him on the ground” right beside a huge hog! He had no water to drink! I was furious! With tears in my eyes, I picked him up and carried him to his mother, who lived in a mud hut. I told her that I would like “to take him home to our orphanage!” She agreed! We took the naked little boy into our orphanage that day!! The Lord touched Nelson! He soon began to stand, walk, and go to school! He is now 13 years old and in the 7th grade. He wants to be a mechanic!
