The next session of our Poul Mirak “Chicken School – Basics of Raising Chickens in Haiti” will run from Sunday evening, January 27 through Saturday afternoon, February 2, 2019. This six-day residential training program will give students enough knowledge and skill to confidently raise chickens for meat and eggs, either for consumption or as a small business enterprise. We have four students registered already, so there is room for an additional four more students to come and stay in our Agricultural Training Center bunkhouse in Fond Parisien to learn, work and fellowship together while participating in the operating of our Poul Mirak chicken farm. The cost of tuition is $155 per student, which includes room and board, classroom instruction and practical training, books, a student t-shirt and a Certificate of Completion. The previous classes have been very popular and have already helped other organizations to provide their own meat protein and a sustainable enterprise. Please contact Rad Hazelip at the Fort Myers Love A Child office ([email protected]) for further information or to register a student. Rad
