New Class in Sustainable Agriculture Begins Soon

It is hard for us to do, but try to imagine a life without anything – no job, no food, no hope. That is exactly the life for too many of our “neighbors” living “next door” to us in Haiti. That is the life Bobby and Sherry are working to change into a life of love, goodness, health, and hope through the ministry of Love A Child. One way that they do this is through the sustainability outreachesteaching Haitians how to help themselves. An important part of that outreach is the training we offer at our Agricultural Training Center (ATC). It is a “living classroom” where we teach sustainable gardening methods that work in the harsh conditions of Haiti. In a few weeks, we will be offering our next 3-week class in sustainable agriculture, where students who get sponsored come to live, work, and learn how to provide nutritious food, reliably, from their own gardens. There are deserving Haitian students who need to come to this course, but they cannot afford the $725 tuition, room and board, and fees for tools, etc. One student wants to come from Les Cayes and three more want to come from Saint Marc. If they could come and gain the skills and confidence to go back home and show their community how they can have reliable food and nutrition, it would be a wonderful blessing for the country. If your heart wants to help these students, please make a donation of any amount toward “ATC Scholarships” and help students learn how to provide a better life for themselves, their families, and their community. It would be a gift for a lifetime. God bless you. Rad Hazelip – Assistant Executive Director of Love A Child
