Graduation Day at the ATC: 3-30-19 11:40 AM

Today was the graduation ceremony for the current class in sustainable agriculture taught by Wilner at our Agricultural Training Center (ATC). This was a very enthusiastic class, and they are especially grateful to their sponsors for this opportunity in light of the recent extreme unrest and disruption in Haiti. In fact, last night each student sat down and wrote Wilner and Bobby and Sherry a note of thanks, expressing just what a blessing this class is for them, their families and their village.

Here you see pictures of some of what they learned to work with during the three-week course: bananas, papayas, making compost for organic fertilizer, gardens in re-purposed tires and so much more. They learned to work in the shade houses which were donated and erected by Joe Perkins and Ron Lusk, etc. of Global Compassion Ministries. Without their generous and critical donation of our 3 shade houses, we could not have started this center for sharing knowledge of “farming God’s way” that is transforming so many lives across Haiti.

These graduates are rightfully proud of their accomplishments and now they return home with their skills, confidence, plants, seeds from Hope Seeds, and drip irrigation from Chapin Living Waters.

A huge “thank you” to all of you who donate the scholarship funds so these students can experience the love of Christ and learn to help themselves live sustainably.
