This week on Love a Child TV in “The Harvest is Ripe,” Bobby and Sherry Burnette take an exploratory trip to see the poverty in Mon Deral, Haiti. A place where a chair is an unheard-of luxury, access to water is infrequent, and people sleep on their bellies to evade their inescapable hunger pains. You’ll meet a grandmother who has been left to take care of her grandchildren but has nothing and must survive on a diet of saltwater soup. A young boy’s circumstances have forced him to live the life of a young man, caring for his mother and helping his father support the family. Here, a bowl of food is more than nourishment; it’s hope, without which they cannot survive. Your continued support makes this hope possible.
