They say, “Idle hands are the devil’s tools.” If you are in charge of a large orphanage here in Haiti, then you understand that proverb well!
Our children have to clean their rooms, clean the mirrors, make their beds, etc., each day before they go to school. But on weekends, they all have to wash their own clothes! Later, the older ones will be ironing…
Our kids have other chores… Sometimes on Saturday, they mop and scrub our floors. (Of course, there is a lot of “skating” going on!!! ) But they are really good workers! They “turn up the Christian Music,” and away they go!
We are proud of our children, and we want them to grow up and have good work ethics!
