Noah… He was “abandoned” by his mother (or a relative, but more likely, his mother). He was left in front of our security gate when it was dark! That little toddler had “bite marks” covering his body! He had bruises, and he was malnourished! Much of his hair was missing! Who in the world would beat or bruise a toddler, or bite him, or pull his hair out? It would have had to be someone, a relative, “deep in Voodoo!” We had our doctor check him out, head to toe! He had been badly tortured, and he was afraid of everyone, especially our “white faces!” More than likely, he was born into a “Voodoo family!”

But the Lord guided his relative to our place, so he would be “abandoned in front of our gate,” while the security guards were busy! It took a long time for this little guy to realize “that God had placed him in our beautiful orphanage!” He makes good grades in school, works hard, does his chores, and is easy to get along with! Now, what kind of job will he have in the future? Maybe a policeman!! We will see… but for right now, he is just a normal little Haitian boy, working hard, going to church, and loving life.
