Here’s an update from Rad on the new class at the Chicken School:
Yesterday and today I met with the Poul Mirak Co-op to review and prepare for our second Poul Mirak chicken school. July 22-28, eight sponsored students will come from around Haiti to live, study, and work at Poul Mirak, learning the basics of raising chickens in Haiti. They will gain skills in raising chickens for both meat and eggs. This course will allow the students to return to their villages and help others have meat protein in their diets. When they graduate on July 28, a donor has sponsored each student to have five laying hens to take home with them. This is a great program that helps Haitians be able to help themselves. Be looking for the dates for future chicken school classes, as this one sold out early. Consider helping hundreds of families by sponsoring students to attend our sustainability classes for both chickens and agriculture. God blesses those who remember the poor.
