It took a long time for them to lose the water in their bellies, but with good doctors and proper nutrition, they both survived.

This type of malnutrition is very dangerous for Haitian babies and children. All poor Haitian mothers want “fat babies!” The mothers think they are healthy, but they are not. Their bellies are full of water. It took a long time to bring good health to Joseph, but he lived.
