Jackson now 12 years old is in school and is in the 6th grade! His uncle brought him to us in Savaan Pit where we had gone to do a Mobile Medical Clinic. I had never seen a little boy who had such a HUGE stomach! He was suffering from kwashiorkor malnutrition. We brought him home with us because we knew he would die a slow death in the mountains.

He is such a sweet boy. Jackson still has a severe kidney problem and is on expensive medicine for his kidneys. We cannot get him to the States now for the treatment he needs, so we are doing our best. 

Jackson’s favorite subjects in school are language (especially Spanish), math, and Bible! According to him, education is the most important thing in his life, next to Jesus! He loves the Bible and works hard every day! He wants to be a doctor or a Spanish teacher! Next week, the children here in Haiti will be wearing their uniforms to school!
