One Tough Little Sweetie!

“Ti David…” It means “little David” in Creole. (We also have another, older David, so this one is Ti David). He was the seventh child in his family and his parents were very poor. A kind neighbor took him in, and when she could not do anything for him, another neighbor took him in. But soon, food ran out and she called the Department of Social Services. They brought him to Love A Child. Ti David is not afraid of anything! He is a “tough little guy!” He has been known to try to take the ball right out of Sampson’s mouth! (Sampson is our big black Rottie security dog…of course, the answer was “no!”)

Ti David is the kid who would swing the highest and try to jump the “farthest!” When he sleeps, he really “loves to sleep.” That is because when he plays, he plays hard! I see him playing soccer and he is always on the “big boys” team! He is a little toughie, but he is a sweetie! Above soccer, “eating” is his favorite activity!

I will say that he is “one of the sweetest kids we have!” He is always smiling and very hard working! He will do any kind of job asked and never, ever complain…as long as he knows he is going to eat, play soccer, and sleep, he will be fine! I wish there were some way to get him into “professional soccer training for children” in Haiti, but I don’t believe there is anything like that. Until then, Ti David will just keep on “being is best!” We love this kid!!! Sherry
