In the Book of Deuteronomy, God gave instructions to the children of Israel. In Chapter 15: 7-8, the Lord God of Israel gave instructions on “how to care for the poor.” This is what He said, “If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother: But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he wanteth.”

God may put you in the grocery line of a poor family. You may see the mother carefully counting her change. You may see the look on her face as the cashier asks her “What she wants to put back?” And you may see the tears in the eyes of the children… What will you do?
