I can remember well the pregnant women who came to our little clinic years ago. Most of them were poor mothers who were just about to have their baby! We did not have a “Maternity Clinic” at that time, and some of the mothers, who came with coughs, colds, pain, etc., were “just about to have their baby.” We were always scrambling, watching every pregnant mother, worried that her baby would come too fast. Also, many Haitian mothers in the mountains would drink a “special tea” to make the baby come faster… but that “medicine” would make their blood pressure rise! At that time, we only had a small clinic… But the Lord laid it on our hearts to build a Birthing Center. This way, our medical staff could take better care of them during delivery. Here is a quick note we got:

A story about: “Madamn Ariana’s beautiful baby…”
Ariana Birlande, a servant of God, knew that everything would go well for her during her delivery. She told me that her prayer was with one goal: that God would have mercy on you because, without you – Love A Child, she would not be able to live here again. She is proud to have been so cared for by the kind-hearted people who took care of her and her son.

She told me how much she loves you, Mrs. Sherry, and Pastor Bobby, because you and your partners deserve more than God’s blessings and your family. She cried because she felt good in the maternity ward.
