Bobby and I love to go to our “Love A Child Church” here in Haiti. We can remember when we first started the church years ago. It was a “Brush Arbor Church,” with a dirt floor and dried palms and sticks for the church! The Haitian people “love their church,” and they believe in “wearing their best clothes to church” because the Lord is above all!! Jesus is the King of Kings!
Richard, the young man in the picture who plays organ and piano, is crippled. We took him in right after the “earthquake,” because the place he was staying was demolished! We later sent him to college, and he has a degree in “Music and Computers,” and he teaches others. Haitians will usually try to find beautiful clothes that they can buy for a low price, but when they get to church, they look like “they are rich.” They believe in making our church look beautiful because “it is the House of the Lord!”
Even though they don’t have much, they will make sure to “do their best,” for our Lord! God bless you, our friends and partners, for your love, care, and support for the Haitian people and their families.
