Michelene and her three brothers were the second family of “four children” when we first started our orphanage. (That orphanage was a rented, two-story building in Petionville, Haiti. We had taken in four children, whose mother, father, and grandmother had died.
After that, we took in Michelene and her three brothers. Soon, Michelene wanted to “try her luck” across the border in the Dominican Republic! She soon learned Spanish and found jobs in the “Tourist Industry,” in many areas.
She became excellent at working with tourists, speaking perfect Spanish, and making a good living!
She wanted to be called “Mitchi” for short! We are so proud of Mitchi!
If any of you have had a desire to go to the Dominican Republic, and you need a “guide” to the best places, we will give you her information! She is “the best of the best!”
We love our “Mitchi!!”
