Our Florence…

Our Florence…

Years ago, when we were living in the mountains of Haiti near “Mt. Noire,” I used to go to the gate to talk to a poor Haitian mother, who had very bad health problems. We helped her all we could, but one day, her husband came to our gate with four small children. His wife had died, and he could not care for four small children and go to work. He was crying so hard…

At that time, we had a small orphanage at the bottom of the mountain. We agreed to take in those four little children. (In Haiti, when a mother dies, the children are almost considered “orphans,” because the father cannot work and care for the children.)

After Florence graduated high school, she got an opportunity to attend a college in Italy. She is there now, has graduated, is working at a clinic in radiology, and has found a wonderful church home. Now, she is praying for a husband… “just as sweet as Poppie Bobby!” God bless our wonderful partners!
