Many people do not know how sick Jackson was, and how “near death” he was, when we first saw him in the mountains of Haiti! His huge belly was full of “water.” He had “Kwashiorkor Malnutrition.” He has been under a doctor’s care in the Dominican Republic for years. He has been on a special diet all those years, and has to have Dialysis every night. Poor Jackson… he loves school and makes good grades, but he has missed so much school. He looks young, but he is 17 now. One of his legs is now very crooked… He is mostly in a wheelchair, but he is happy to be around his “brothers and sisters.” He has a special bicycle that one of our donors sponsored for him. Even though there are many things he cannot do, there are still many things “he can do!” Jackson is a devout Christian and loves the Lord!
