Our “Lifeline” in Haiti

Working in very remote, chaotic, and disrupted Haiti during the last 3 years, where nothing operates “normal” due to the constant problems from the violent gangs, materials and supplies are not available. There are no Lowes, Walmarts, Publix, or Krogers, Walgreens, etc.  We depend on getting what we can, when we can, and how we can.

Bobby and Sherry have been masterful though, following the prompting of the Holy Spirit to find ways to get containers of life-supporting goods into Love A Child. Jesse, Mike, and even some of the older orphan kids work together to get our containers through when they can.

Recently, we got a long-awaited container of great supplies, just in time. This container had some medicines, clothes, packs for the children, and two special items that we critically needed: another large donation of important vegetable seeds from Hope Seeds International and a replacement water pump for the Miracle Village family gardens and the ATC (Agricultural Training Center). We are one of the “Haiti Seed Depots” for Hope Seeds, where they donate critically important seeds for us to be able to distribute to anyone who needs them in our expansive region of Haiti. We use these seeds in our training courses and also distribute them through various community programs. There are Hope Seeds providing life-supporting gardens throughout Haiti because of our partnership. We were completely out of their seeds when this container finally arrived! Also, a necessary water pump that provides irrigation water for all the gardens for Miracle Village and our ATC finally arrived. They had been without this pump for over 7 months, and it finally arrived. Everyone was very happy to see this container arrive.

We thank all of you who made this happen for so many people by your faithful and continued support.  God Bless you.
