His mother Jocelyn had died, and his father, Josue Francois, could not take care of him and his little brother named Kidney, whom the kids call “Ti Pikan,” or little thorn!
They were sent to stay with their uncle, who was a mean and abusive man. Someone from the mountains brought these children to us.
The kids call James “Ti Pigeon,” or little pigeon because he loved raising pigeons! James was always a sweet and kind kid!
James learned how to be a good photographer, but he had bigger dreams. He decided to become an accountant! He is in INUKA College here in Haiti. But, despite his seriousness, he likes to play jokes on people. James has come a long way from staying with a mean, angry uncle who never loved him.
We are so proud of James! One day, he may be working for “us!”
