We have a beautiful Malnutrition Clinic for the starving children of Haiti. We are so thankful to Joyce Meyer Ministries – Hand of Hope for sponsoring the building of this important outreach for starving children. Many of Haiti’s toddlers and babies are at risk of dying from malnutrition. But, if we get to these babies and toddlers in time, we can save their little lives, and teach poor mothers how to care for their children with little or no food.
Jobs are scarce here. Many fathers abandon their children and try to find work in the Dominican Republic. But sadly enough, many do not keep their commitment, leaving a poor mother with no job and no way of getting money for food. We can say that this Malnutrition Clinic saves these little lives. It gives mothers “hope!”
From time to time, some of our Haitian children come and volunteer to help feed the babies and toddlers. One of our young girls, Rodna, comes to help, and so do many others. The toddlers and infants must stay until their “normal required weight” is obtained. They cannot leave until the doctor has checked them out!
Our nurses teach poor mothers how to feed their babies with nourishing foods and “with less money.” Thank you to our wonderful partners for helping us to help the poor children, babies, and infants here in Haiti.
