We found him at a mobile clinic in the mountains years ago. He was living with his Grandma and was near death from malnutrition. He was nothing more than “skin and bones.” We put him in our truck and started down the steep mountains. We stopped during that long truck ride to buy some mangos from a poor farmer. Yonel ate about 6 mangos en route! He was starving!

After lots of care, he recovered at our orphanage. We enrolled him in school, and before we knew it, he graduated. We gave him a job, he met his “wife-to-be,” got married, and had a baby boy. Today, he is in charge of our Food Distribution Center, and he must keep track of every box of “Feed My Starving Children” food, and not only this, he is over “all donations” of various items! He is honest, and he is invaluable to us.

You never know “who” God will send your way, or who He will choose for His work! We love Yonel. We were out in the mountains, in the middle of “nowhere,” and God sent us a “gift.” Someone might have thought of him as a “child” who would have cost a lot of time, care, and money. But, God is particular with His “gifts to His children! He always gives us “His Best!” Thank you, partners.
