Lionel (Yonel) is out of a very long surgery. He is in pain, but is heavily medicated. When the nerve blocks wear off, he will be in more pain. The surgery was extensive. They rebuilt his hand. They separated all the fingers. He is in the recovery suite now. Hopefully, he will get some rest.

They started the procedure at 10:30 a.m., and just now wheeled him out of the operating room. I do not know if they will keep him for the night or let him go home. I have Roselyne with me and she is doing a great job as the nurse for him. Now, we pray for a speedy recovery and with no complications. They separated the fingers and put pins in the bones, much like they did with Dieuferly. It must have been very complex because they took forever.
