Today, amid all the turmoil in Haiti, we took the back road to the mud hut village of Old Le Tant. We had brand new golf shirts and shorts that were donated by Praise Cathedral of Melbourne, Florida and Pastor Larry Caddell. You can see the happy faces on these ladies.Check this video out too…there was some dancing too! One older lady fell in love with Bobby!! Here in Haiti, the Haitian dollar has been devalued, causing the price of food and even the simplest items to be out of reach for the poor. They are struggling, each day, to survive in a country of chaos. These precious children are “eating” because “you” cared! One of our outreach programs is to share food with other missionaries. These children who are receiving this food are from Christian Light School, and our friend Sherrie Fausey says, “they eat and live” because of people like you! Thank you! Bobby and Sherry

Haiti’s Presidential Election was canceled due to the violence. Today was supposed to be the runoff vote, but it was postponed indefinitely following widespread unrest and claims from opposition leaders and others that the entire process is mired in fraud. I’m hearing this morning that these protests will not stop. Please pray for president Martelly, all his ministers in the government, the opposition, and all the Haitian people, especially the children. We pray for peace and the Wisdom of Solomon. Food prices are out of sight. Most Haitians cannot afford the staple diet of beans and rice, so hunger is prevalent everywhere among the poor. It breaks our heart. Bobby and Sherry

The best way to feed hungry and starving children in any Third World country is through schools. This way the hungry children are sure to get food every day on a consistent basis, and they will learn at the same time. Of course, even if there is not a school, we need to feed every hungry child we can! We shared our food with Pastor Juanito Genada and he feeds his hungry school children. Thank “you” partners! Yesterday, people were burning cars, smashing business windows, burning buildings and blocking roads in Petionville, Port-au-Prince, and other areas of Haiti. It looks like the presidential elections have been canceled again on Sunday. We don’t know what will happen. Pray for peace in Haiti and for its people, especially the children. Bobby
