We serve an amazing God who uses His people to do great things for the poor, so that He can bless them, according to Psalms 41:1-3! Be sure to see Sherry’s Journal today and see what you have accomplished for the poor this past year!! God bless you, Bobby and Sherry
Tilapia Fish Farm: 1-15-16 11:45 AM
Give a man a fish and he can eat for a day, teach him to fish and he can eat for a lifetime. We love our Tilapia Fish Project and teaching Haitians how to help themselves. This is a sustainability project. Thank you to our partner Christian Television Network (CTN) for sponsoring this project! Bobby
Word from the Mission Field – 01-15-16
“He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich. He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.” Proverbs 10:4,5 – God blesses people who work. If the Lord has called you into the ministry, or if you want a successful business, or if you want to go far in life…it takes hard work! Bobby
News from the marketplace: 1-14-16 2:30 PM
The Gwo Maché Mirak (Grand Miracle Market) has some exciting news coming up! The Malpasse Market is getting ready to move into Gwo Maché Mirak. The new meat processing plant is also preparing to open, and Poul Mirak (Miracle Chicken) located in the back of the market is preparing to sell more chickens than ever!
A large restaurant by the name of Epi d’Or will hopefully be open by March or April. The building has already been built, and the vendors are excited! Metro Management, who we hired to run the market, is working very hard.
This has been no cakewalk but we are getting there. Mark and Jesse Ostrander, and Mark and Norm Trebilcock from the States are here today working very hard. This is a sustainability project… helping Haitians to help themselves. Love A Child takes no money from the market; it all goes to the Haitians. Thank you Pastor Jentezen Franklin and your Kingdom Connection partners for sponsoring the marketplace, giving $1,000,000. Bobby and Sherry
Word from the Mission Field – 01-14-16
“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” 1 Peter 5:7 – Sometimes, we have too much pride and try to carry “the whole load” by ourselves…when Jesus has bigger shoulders than we do! Are you tired of carrying this all by yourself? Turn it over to Him! Have a great day! Sherry
Feeding hungry children – 01-13-16
Feeding hungry children is the very heart of God… These children are being fed by Foundation Timoun, which is an organization that we help each month, “with your help.” Thank you partners for “caring for the poor.” To see just some of what you have done with your giving this year, read “Sherry’s Journal” today! You will be amazed at what has been done in just twelve short months. God bless you according to Psalm 41:1-3. Sherry
New Sherry’s Journal: 1-13-16 3:15 PM
You won’t believe all the great things that we have accomplished together in 2015!!! Read “Sherry’s Journal” today! Amazing… and we give all the glory to God! Bobby and Sherry
Word from the Mission Field – 01-13-16
“But without faith it is impossible to please him (God): for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6 – People today make “faith” so complicated, but it’s not. It is just “believing that what your Heavenly Father tells you, is the truth.” Just like little, tiny Nelson at our orphanage, when he sees his Poppie (Bobby), he runs and jumps from the top of the steps, knowing that Poppie’s arms are wide open and ready to catch him! God says, “Jump and I’ll catch you!” That’s faith! God bless you. Sherry
Feeding orphan children: 1-12-16 11:00 AM
A Haitian Creole Proverb tells us, “Those who share their food, never eat alone…” Today, it is all about “sharing,” and not being selfish with what God has blessed us with. We are thankful to Feed My Starving Children, who regularly donates food to us, free of charge. We have to pick up the food in the States, send it by rail or truck to Miami and then ship it to Haiti and get it released from Customs in Haiti, which takes about a month. This costs us $10,000 per container, (and we need eight containers a month), but the food has a value of $65,000! Each month, Pastor Jean Fega Supreme is feeding children like these. Some of his children have suffered from anemia and malnutrition, but they are doing great now! Thank you again partners for “sharing with the hungry children in Haiti!” Bobby and Sherry
Welcome Norm and Mark Trebilcock: 1-12-167 9:30 AM
Update: Mark and Jesse Ostrander came into Haiti yesterday with Norm and Mark Trebilcock. Mark Ostrander is on our Board of Directors and has been to Haiti probably 350 times. Jesse, his son, has also come to Haiti many times. Thank you all for your sacrifices. Norm Trebilcock is also on our board and is a brilliant water/drainage engineer, who has helped along with Engineering Ministries International (eMi) to layout all our Love A Child projects. His brother Mark Trebilcock is an industrial engineer and this is his first trip to Haiti. Welcome, they will all be working at the Gwo Maché Mirak marketplace. Thank you. Bobby
