Christmas with our Orphans in Haiti

Christmas Eve with Family and orphans: 12-24-2015 8:15 PM

We have so many children in our orphanage that we have to open presents over several nights. We are glad to have our family with us—Julie Halecki, and Jonathan, Julie, Aidan and Brandon Burnette. We also have our missionary Kaeli, and the Balsbaugh missionary family celebrating with us this Christmas Eve. It’s hard to believe that these happy children would have died or lived horrible lives, if our partners had not helped rescue them! What a wonderful Christmas this is! Bobby and Sherry

Christmas at our Love A Child Haitian Orphanage

Christmas in haiti

We began our “Christmas Holiday Celebrations” at our Love A Child Orphanage tonight! Our son Jonathan, his wife Julie and their twins Aidan and Brandon are with us here in Haiti. We all had a great time with the children! We allowed only 30 of them to open gifts tonight, “after they sang a song, or did some sort of talent show.” We had a ball! Tomorrow, our daughter Julie will join us. We thank the Lord for this precious time with our family. God bless you all! Bobby and Sherry

Food Distribution programs throughout Haiti

Food Distribution – 12-23-15

We have been distributing food to many different villages every day this week, and are doing even more distributions today! We thank Philemon and our Love A Child staff members for working day and night to get this food to hungry children and adults. We have eight more 40-foot food containers to get out of Customs and we need your help! Our cost for each container is about $10,000. FAITH doesn’t know that we don’t have the $80,000! WE NEED YOUR HELP AND PRAYERS! The New Year celebration is actually bigger than Christmas here in Haiti. We pray that we can give all the families in our feeding program one good meal. Each of these boxes will last about a month. “Love is something you do.” Thank you and we love you. You can give online now or please call our office at 239-210-6107 and a staff member will help you. Word from the Mission Field – 12-23-15 – 7 AM

“For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile.” 1 Peter 3:10 – The Bible says that our tongues can be like a poison (Romans 3:13) and can cause hurt and pain to others. But on the other hand, our words can be used for encouragement and healing to others. Our words are one of the easiest things to change. So, if you have said some negative things lately, just change those words, and speak positive, uplifting words of love. God bless you. Sherry

New trucks donated to Haiti

Word from the Mission Field – 12-23-15

I just want to say a VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU to Pastor Dale Cornell, Tim Barton, Kaleb Barton, Jay Price, John Barton and Chris Parker for driving three trucks almost 3,000 miles from California all the way to Florida so they could be shipped to Haiti. They drove almost non-stop. They may have stopped once, but those trucks were on the road day and night. I woke up in the middle of the night thinking about their journey and their sacrifices. If this isn’t LOVE, what is? God bless you all and thank you! Bobby

New trucks for Haiti – 12-22-15

We want to thank Price Disposal in Bakersfield, California for the donation of three trucks. One is a beautiful garbage truck and one is a huge water truck. We are standing by the trucks here in Haiti in the photo. (We do not have a photo of the other truck.) We thank God for Price Disposal Company and for these donations that will help benefit the poor living in Haiti. What a blessing these vehicles will be. Love is something you do. Bobby

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16 – People see the light of Jesus in our lives. We help and bless the poor, and we glorify our Father in heaven. Let the Lord use you today! “Love is something you do!” Bobby
