Mika Burnette – 09-14-15

You may remember this “little sweetie.” Her name is Mika Burnette and she was found starving to death in the village of Madamn Bauje. When we found her, we thought she was about nine-months-old. It turned out that she was really two-years-old, but looked so young because of severe malnutrition. She could not walk or talk. When we brought her to our Love A Child Orphanage, everyone gave her lots of love and attention, and of course she received proper nutrition. Today, she is happy, healthy and smiles all the time. Thank you partners for saving another child in Haiti. God bless you, Bobby and Sherry

Word from the Mission Field: 9-13-2015 6:00 AM

“It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.” Lamentations 3:22-24 — Forget about how you may have messed up yesterday. God’s mercies are new every morning. You can get out of bed today with a new, fresh and clean slate. Just say “thank you Jesus” and go out and have the best day ever! We love you. Have a blessed Sunday — Bobby and Sherry

There’s nothing like good fried chicken! Our little Haitian children had a nice lunch with dirty rice, sauce Pwa and fried chicken. Joel and Yvonne Trimble were visiting us today! Joel had to go down to the kids’ kitchen to sample the fried chicken and all the other Haitian food! God bless you Joel and Yvonne! Bobby and Sherry

Word from the Mission Field – 09-12-15

“I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.” Psalm 84:10 – It amazes me when I hear someone say they cannot find a “volunteer” to help take care of the church by cleaning, cutting the grass or other chores. When Bobby first got saved and filled with God’s spirit, he thought he was going to “preach around the world,” but God told him, “Bobby, go to the church and clean the toilets!” No job for the Lord is too lowly. Let’s be “doorkeepers” in the house of the Lord! God bless you, Sherry

Julanne – 09-11-15

I know you remember sweet Julanne. She was one of our first orphans. Her father was dead, and her mother was very sick and lying on a woven mat on a dirt floor in a mud hut. She took my hand and said, “Madamn Sherry, I am going to die, promise me that you will take care of my four children.” This turned out to be the beginning of our Love A Child Orphanage. Julanne was severely malnourished when she first came to live with us. We gave her food, love and a place to call home. Now, Julanne is studying to be a pediatrician and she works in our Mobile Medical Clinics healing other Haitians and giving back to her country. Love is Something You Do. Thank you partners for loving Julanne and so many others. May God bless you. Sherry

Children in Haiti LOVE school: 9-11-2015 1:00 PM

School is now in session all over Haiti. Children who live far in the mountains (if they are fortunate enough) must walk many miles to go to school. Only a very small percentage of all poor mountain children are able to go to school. A high percentage of children living in the mountains must work in the gardens with their fathers or gather sticks to sell to help the family make a living. Children in Haiti LOVE school! It brings “light” in the midst of their darkness, which is full of hunger and despair. Pray about sponsoring a child for $24 a month! Click here to “bring joy” into your own life as well as the life of a child! Sherry
