A Policy with Good Benefits Looking for a good life insurance policy? We always try to check into the ones with the best benefits. Sometimes we think we have benefits until we read the small print, and the small print is not on our side. The Lord also gives us a policy. It is called the Word of God, and it has many benefits. No one can deny you of the benefits if you know that you have them. Let‘s go to Psalms 103:2-5: “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: 1. Who forgiveth all thine iniquities (sins); 2. who healeth all thy diseases; 3. Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; 4. who crowneth thee with lovingkindness… 5. …and tender mercies; 6. Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things;[…]
A note from our Daniella, one of our “Love A Child kids” in college
We just got this sweet note from our precious Daniella. She is in her first year of college in Haiti. She will be studying hard to reach her goal of becoming an “eye doctor.” When her twin brother, Daniel, began to have problems with his eyes for many years, she[…]
Babies ‘R’ Our Business!!
After living and working here in Haiti for many years, we have seen a lot of “mothers and babies” who have died in childbirth because the mothers either had poor health, or the babies were born in filthy conditions! I once saw a man in the mountains run outside his[…]
Word from the Mission Field
“What if God Gave Us His Leftovers?” How would you feel if someone “prosperous” invited you to their house for Thanksgiving dinner, and when you arrived, they said, “Glad you came over, we’re going to have ‘leftovers,’ just for you!” I’m sure you would be gracious but maybe just a[…]
Little David
The kids call him “Ti David” because we have an older “David,” so this one is “Little David.” He was born into a poor family of seven children and his parents could not face the responsibility of feeding another child. They asked if we would take him in. He is[…]
“God is a God of Miracles!”
Many of you do not know the stories of how we started our Orphanage and the stories of the children. The picture of this “skeleton-like” boy Bobby and I are with is “Yonel!” We found him during one of our Mobile Clinics. He looked like a “skeleton!” He had come[…]
TODAY IS GIVING TUESDAY!
This happens each year on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving. We remember the poor on this special day. “Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me…” Matt. 25:40 We feel the hunger of the Haitian people and[…]
Word from the Mission Field
THE GREAT COMMISSION TO THE CHURCH! Before Jesus ascended in Heaven, he gave his eleven disciples the “The Great Commission…” Matthew 28:16-20 We must carry the Gospel deep into the interior of the mountains of Haiti, going where very few go in the world to carry the Gospel. There are less[…]
Strong Little Guy
This strong looking little guy will fool you! He is really quite shy! If you don’t know his story, it is a sad one. We found Noah at the front gate of Love A Child – abandoned, hungry, beaten, and he even had teeth marks where he had been bitten.[…]
THE VILLAGE OF NOUGOUS… A WARM STORY
At Love A Child we pray daily for God to lead us to the most needy and destitute in Haiti, the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. This weekend God led us to the remote mountain village of Nougous in the south of Haiti. Because you continue to pray and[…]
