“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1 – I love the last part of this scripture. The evidence of things not seen. I believe more in the unseen than what I do see. All we do here in Haiti, faith doesn’t know that we don’t have the money! Bobby
Update on Grand Miracle Market – 11-13-14
Here are some current photos showing everyone hard at work on the new Grand Miracle Market. Mark Ostrander is the project manager. He and his son Jesse have worked hundreds of hours on this huge marketplace. Today, Mark started shooting grades for the slaughterhouse. Frank from Melbourne, Florida is on the front-end loader. Robert and the Haitian crew are working very hard. We have passed the budget, but FAITH doesn’t know that we don’t have the money! Thank you Pastor Jentezen Franklin for the $1,000,000 to sponsor this project. Metro Management is working day and night with the vendors who will be selling in the Grand Miracle Market. This is a Sustainability Project…Haitians Helping Themselves. The vendors will move in on November 18th and we will have a grand dedication service on December 9th. Bobby
Trip to the Dominican Republic: 11-13-2014 11:30 AM
Thank you World Vision for the wonderful baseball caps you donated! As you know, the people in the Dominican Republic are “crazy” about baseball. A volunteer group from Life Church, under the direction of Carlos and Julie and a few of her friends, went to the Batey (a sugar cane camp of Haitian migrant workers) in Tentacion and gave the baseball caps to the poor children living here. What a blessing! Thank you again World Vision, Julie, Life Church and special thanks to Carlos for organizing all of this! Sherry
Word from the Mission Field – 11-13-14
There is one thing that I am persuaded of today. “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39 – Bobby
Help us serve the poor: 11-12-2014 5:15 PM
“Let us touch the dying, the poor, the lonely and the unwanted according to the graces we have received and let us not be ashamed or slow to do the humble work.” —Mother Teresa
Her comments and stories always make me ashamed of myself. I want to do more to help serve the poor… “Lord, help us to serve others, as we would serve You.” Sherry
Pastor Claude’s new orphanage: 11-12-2014 11:30 AM
This picture was taken this morning of David George, Pastor Claude and me standing in front of the land and new orphanage that David is sponsoring through Love A Child. Pastor Claude is building this brand new orphanage for his children. Love is something you do! Bobby
Word from the Mission Field – 11-12-14
“The poor is hated even of his own neighbor: but the rich hath many friends. He that despiseth his neighbor sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he.” Proverbs 14:20-21 – May the Lord use you today. Have a blessed Wednesday! Bobby
Sharing our Food: 11-10-2014 4:30 PM
I cannot believe how God “multiplies” our food in order that we may share with so many hungry Haitian children. We are almost completely out of food, but these children from Village Source of Grace bowed their heads and thanked God for the food that you helped send to them. We cannot be “the hands” and feed hungry children all by ourselves. It takes the “whole body” working together! Thank you to our wonderful friends and partners! God bless you, Sherry
Edeline: 11-11-2014 10:30 AM
To all our friends who have been to Love A Child or know us well, you know Edeline. She is one of our original children here at the Love A Child Orphanage. Edeline was taken in when she was about 11-years-old because of keloids around her neck area. She has had several surgeries, but they continue to grow back. Now she has met a wonderful Christian man and will be getting married on December 25th. If you would like to donate toward her wedding, please contact Shar at our Love A Child Office in Fort Myers, FL by calling 239-210-6107. All the money that comes in will go to help Edeline with her wedding or anything she needs to buy for her “nest” with her new husband. Thank you! Sherry
Word from the Mission Field – 11-11-14
“Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.” Psalm 127:1 – It is important that the Lord is in the middle of everything we do with our lives. If not then everything we do is in vain. Bobby
