It is impossible for one person, one organization, or even one ministry, to feed all the hungry children in a country like Haiti. It takes a body of caring people. This food is donated by Feed My Starving Children and packed by volunteers. The food packs are then shipped from Minnesota to Haiti, over land and seas, and then it takes weeks to release it from Haitian Customs. It then has to be transported here to Love A Child’s Food Distribution Warehouse.  From there it goes all over the many parts of Haiti. It takes us every day of a full week to distribute this food to all of our villages. It goes to 14 of our schools, Love A Child’s orphanage, and we also share with 63 other organizations, like Diddi Washington’s Mission Haiti Helping Kids. Our partners sponsor this food to be shipped all the way to Haiti. The doctors and nurses at our Jesus Healing Center are very worried about Shalken. They are just trying to keep him comfortable, but he will die soon without help. Right now, he needs a real biopsy to determine if he actually has calcinosis, and if so, we need to find a good dermatologist to treat him. I have one friend I can talk to that can possibly help. I will let you know if we can get him treatment in the States. This little boy makes me cry and breaks my heart to pieces. Sherry

Peace for very troubled times… We are now living in the most perilous times imaginable. Every day, we hear reports of ISIS and other factions who hate Americans and all Christians. We hear about what they would like to do to all of us. Let us not forget the words of Jesus; “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:27 – This is our only peace. Sherry

Baby Elijah is doing better but still having seizures. He is taking 5 cc of Phenobarbital twice a day. We will see if he is doing any better. His last medicine came from the Dominican Republic and we were afraid it was not very good. We will try this for a day and keep you posted. Sherry

We are changing planes now in Charlotte, North Carolina and will be flying into Myrtle Beach this evening. Sherry and I will attend a memorial service tomorrow for our good friend and former Love A Child board member, Riley Ferguson. We will miss him, but he has been promoted! Bobby and Sherry

We had a wonderful Love A Child board meeting today. We have four board meetings each year at our headquarters in Fort Myers, Florida. We are accountable to the Lord and to you our donors. Here are the results of our financial audit:

The rest of the story, continued from two days ago…

When the “village of the bad people,” Nacou, heard that Haitian Customs Agents had taken our truck loaded with food, they said, “Love A Child feeds all the people of this area and saves lives. If you don’t give them back their truck, we will burn down the Customs building and start a riot!” When we heard that, we urged them, “No, please don’t do that. We will work things out with them.” Our truck and food were quickly released, and now everyone is happy. We are planning a crusade in that area very soon. Being a missionary in Haiti is not easy and it takes lots of wisdom. Be the best for Jesus! Sherry

We are so thankful for a wonderful board of wise men and women. We are striving for excellence with integrity. This afternoon, we will let you know the results of the audit. Thank you for partnering with Love A Child to feed hungry children in Haiti. This little boy is from Good Samaritan Mission in Cite Soleil, which is one of the worst areas of Haiti.
