I remember in the beginning of our ministry, the Lord told me to fast and only drink water for 21 days and nights. I found an old shack with knocked out windows where I stayed while fasting. It was cold outside and rats would try to crawl in bed with me at night. I would try to kill these rats with an old broom. Find out tomorrow what happened on that fast, and how it changed my life forever.
Chicken Co-Op Sustainability Project
Our Chicken Co-Op sustainability project is under construction in the back of our Miracle Village Marketplace. Thank you to International Poultry Development, and Mike Welch and friends for sponsoring this project. More building materials have arrived at the Haiti Customs and will soon be released! This project will create jobs for many poor families in Haiti. Bobby
Marketplace Construction
Work continues on our big Marketplace in Fond Parisien, Haiti, which was sponsored by Pastor Jentezen Franklin and our partners. Our missionary friend Robert has worked hard for many long hours with Mark Ostrander on this project. We are now working on finishing all the iron gates for the Marketplace. All ten buildings will be picked up in Alabama tomorrow and then shipped to Haiti. We are creating jobs for “sustainability” for many poor Haitian families. Sherry
Pastor Bernice
Today is the funeral of Pastor Bernice. He was a dear friend and the pastor of our church and school in the La Roche and Lastik areas. He will be put to rest beside his beloved son who was killed two years ago. We are very sad and will miss them both. “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 5:8 – Bobby and Sherry
Feeding children in Fond Verette
This little boy lives far in the mountains of Fond Verettes in Haiti. He has had many hungry days, but today he is happy because he has received some food! God bless our partners for feeding hungry children!
Bobby and Sherry going to NRB
We had a great luncheon today with our partners in Murfreesboro, TN. We are now headed to the National Religious Broadcasters Convention, and then on Tuesday we go back home to Haiti. Sherry
For God so loved the world…
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16. Today is Saturday and no matter what you must face or go through, Jesus loves you and me. If we live for Him we have this gift of eternal life forever! Bobby
Read Kristela’s Story
She was the great-granddaughter of a Mambo (Voodoo priestess). Her mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother were all involved with Voodoo. When Kristela was born, she was not expected to live, but she did. Hear her story by reading Sherry’s Journal today. God bless you. Sherry
Sharing food with Horizon de l’Espoir
A Haitian Creole proverb: “Those who share their food, never eat alone…” Thank you for sharing “your food” with the children in Haiti. When you give to Love A Child, your gifts “multiply.” Kathelen Douyon from Horizon de l’Espoir receives food each month from Love A Child. Feeding children in a school environment is the best way to help them. Sherry
