We have had to buy food here for the families who had been “run out of their homes” by the gangs. Normally, we would have boxes of our “Feed My Starving Children” food, but our shipping containers have not made it to the Dominican Border yet.
So, we bought local rice, beans, spaghetti, macaroni, sugar, coffee, etc., for all those hungry families who had no food and no hope! They had been run out of their homes by the gangs, and to make matters worse, they had to face the recent storms!
Our “Love A Child kids” worked hard for days! They have more food to pack today when they all get home from school!
They are excited to know that their hard work will give “1,000 poor families” full abdomens of “hope!”
Our Love A Child kids know that the Lord rescued them from dying of starvation, and now, they feel that they can “give back,” thanks to you, wonderful partners!
The boxes of food that Love A Child delivers to the suffering throughout Haiti are more than simple meals; they are a means of survival, reprieves from suffering, and beacons of hope. Entire villages celebrate with joy when we come bearing food, women of all ages walk several miles to secure a box of sustenance, and children give delighted thanks when they receive a meal that satisfies their hunger pains. The work you support us in is not small, together we’re providing them with hope, and the Haitians say that “hope makes us live.”

“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” Hebrews 13:8
The world is on the edge of a new order. The day will come when we preach against sin, and we will be put in prison. The church is growing lukewarm. Many are just teaching and preaching an “anemic gospel.” The world may change, the church may change, and those around you may change. I just want to say one thing this morning… “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever!”
The Bible tells us that God “lifts up the beggar from the dunghill…” lst Samuel 2:8,9
This is Julianne Limose. She is one of the family of four children we found living by themselves in a hut in the village of Lartibonite, Haiti.
We knew Julianne because when her mother was dying in a mud hut, she made me promise to take in her four children, Julianne, Sheline, Jonise, and Barry.
Weeks later, when we returned to that village, all the people were there, with four skinny, hungry children waiting for us!
We took Julianne, Barry, Sheline, and Jonise in and soon had “four more children” and started our orphanage.
After high school, Julianne helped us in our Mobile Clinics and later, finally got an opportunity to go to the States. She ended up in New York and got a job at a Hospital. We are serving an “Only God,” who could do that!!
Do you have a need? Talk to the One who can do the impossible… Now, praise Him in advance!!
The disciples told Jesus, we have a great multitude to feed, including women and children. “And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.” Matthew 14:17 – Maybe in your life today, you have very little. Let Jesus have it and He can multiply it many times over! After Jesus blessed the five loaves and two fishes, He fed the multitude and had twelve baskets of food leftover! Look what the Lord can do! He can do the same for us! Bobby
We asked him to smile, but most of the time “he’s a serious little guy!” He doesn’t mind working hard, picking up trash, or doing any kind of work… but if you try to put him through a “graduation” with a robe, he’ll skip town! He is sweet, quiet, and intelligent… but don’t try to put him in any kind of “graduation” gown and make him march up the aisle! He’ll bail out on you! Zachary is the baby we took in, knowing his Voodoo mother was going to kill him! (Four other children are still “missing from his family!”) He is a hard worker and he loves “Mommy Sherry!” (I guess it’s because I keep a stash of candy in my room!) We will be anxious to see where his life takes him! We all love Zachary!
All of our orphan children are starting this evening at 6:00 pm through Friday, bagging food supplies for 1,000 families on Saturday up in the mountain interior. Most of these families have been run out of their homes in different villages by the gangs taking over. Truly heartbreaking.
Our older orphan boys, along with Pastor Soufout, have been working hard to organize this. I thought by now, Sherry and I would be used to seeing and hearing the cries of the hungry here.
No, we still cry at times, and I never cry. We can’t stop our ears from hearing the cry of the poor. Proverbs 21:13
Thank you for your continued support and prayers. Together, we are making a difference.
Fear makes people doubt! “Fear” is a spirit! Some people fear an illness and that they are dying. Some fear that their husband or wife will leave them! Others fear the future, the unknown. Fear is a spirit, a spirit from hell!
This is why we need the gift “of discerning of spirits!”
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” II Timothy 1:7
Today, do not let the devil put a “spirit of fear” on you! Fear is like a cancer! Let God put on you the “spirit of power and love and a sound mind!”
Have a great day, and don’t let “ the spirit of fear” ruin it! Instead, think of God’s great love surrounding you every minute of the day!
Because of your help, the 273 hungry and malnourished prisoners of Anse-à-Veau are being fed a healthy, nutritious meal every day! Today’s plat du jour is a vitamin-rich soup combined with mashed black beans, plantains, mashed sweet potatoes, plantains, potatoes, spinach, cabbage, carrots, and a cow’s shank and hoof for the bone marrow.
The Love A Child staff works all night before preparing the meal for the next day. Before serving, a prayer of thanks is given over the pots of food before serving the anxiously awaiting inmates for their food.
Thank you, Hubert and the Love A Child team. Thank you from the depths of our hearts for continuing to give to help the helpless of Haiti. Love is something you do!
“With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.” Mark 10:27 – I’ve learned a valuable lesson in life following the Lord, we must do everything that is possible and let God do the impossible! Bobby
