New LAC TV Program “Feeding Haiti’s Children” Begins Saturday!

Amid severe poverty, a destitute woman struggles to care for her hungry children, yet her unwavering faith shines brightly despite having nothing. Her situation, one of immense hardship, mirrors the plight of many in her community who face daily battles for survival. Moved by her resilience and determination, Sherry Burnette steps in to offer a small sum of money—a gesture that, while seemingly modest, holds profound significance. This act of kindness is not just a temporary relief for the woman’s immediate needs but a powerful tool for transformation. By empowering the woman to start her own business, Sherry underscores a critical mission: to enable Haitians to build sustainable livelihoods. This initiative highlights the importance of self-sufficiency and dignity in overcoming poverty, aiming to break the cycle of dependency and pave the way for long-term prosperity within the community.

We want to invite viewers around the world to tune in tomorrow afternoon to Daystar Television Network at 12:30 p.m. (ET) and then throughout the week. You can also watch us on DIRECTV, DISH Network, Christian Television Network, The Word Network, NRB, and many more local television stations. Check out our full schedule for the best way for you to tune in. You can also watch the program online through our Vimeo and YouTube channels or on our website www.loveachild.com under the “Media” tab.

Together we are changing lives!

Word from the Mission Field

“Is there anything too hard for God?”

“Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for Me?” Jeremiah 32:27

We are serving a God who asks us a question, “is there any thing too hard for Me?” I always go back to the day when Bobby and I flew back from Haiti to see a doctor. Bobby had a mole on his side that had turned black. I was so afraid… I know we have shared this story before, but it was one of the “two darkest hours of my life.” We were flat broke, and Bobby had been given a “death sentence…” six months to live. But “is there anything too hard for the Lord?” The Lord healed him and brought us back to Haiti to work for him. I wonder if any of you who are reading this have “met God in your darkest hour?” Has He “pulled you from a fiery furnace?” Has He “met you walking on the water,” or has He ever “rolled back the Red Sea for you?” Has He ever “multiplied your loaves and fishes,” or has He ever said, “Yes,” when everyone else said, “No!” If so, I want to hear about it! Drop me a short line here, so that you can encourage someone else who needs to know that “nothing is too hard for God!!” Have a great day! I can’t wait to read your responses! Sherry

Miracle Food for Hungry Families with Starving Children!

We are so proud of our Love A Child children who all volunteered to pack food for poor families! This food is going to families nearby who have been “run out of their homes” by the gangs! They fled from the town of Ganthier, eight miles from Love A Child! Hundreds of poor families with hungry children and babies have been sleeping on the ground in the marketplace, as well as any other place they could find!

We are so thankful that in this stressful time the Lord has blessed us with wonderful partners who send in funds for food. Our Love A Child children of all ages came running to the Food Distribution Center to help pack food! Saturday, each poor family will have a huge sack of food (rice, beans, cooking oil, spices, water, corn meal, whole grain corn, sugar, dried fish, and spaghetti). It’s enough food for the first week for a family eating every day. The following week we will do the same thing. Love is something you do!  Bobby and Sherry

Growing up ‘Love A Child’…

This is Yonel, one of our older boys, raised here in our Orphanage. We discovered Yonel during a Mobile Medical Clinic in the mountains. He and his sister were near death when his grandma brought them. Yonel was “skin and bones.”

While trying to care for him, we realized he could never survive in the mountains with his grandma. We brought him home with us.

He went through a “prodigal son” time in his life, and we worried he would be gone. But he came back, got his life together, got married, and found a great job here at Love A Child doing an “excellent job” in our warehouse.

His most important job is keeping track of every box of the “Feed My Starving Children” food! He now has a little baby boy, and he is blessed!

We want to thank our partners who have helped sponsor all these kids growing up, serving the Lord, and making Haiti “a better Haiti.”

FOOD FOR 500 FAMILIES FROM GANTHIER!

Our orphan children are packing their food.

This food is for 500 families who had to abandon their homes when the gangs took over. They are from Ganthier, 8 miles from us. They lost everything! There are about a total of 2,000 families that lost their homes to the gangs! We are feeding 500 families now as the funds come in. The distribution will be here in Fond Parisien on Saturday.

Our Love A Child orphan children “love to work,” believe it or not.

They are “walking the dog” this morning! (That’s “southern talk” for getting the job done fast!) Thank you to our partners!

“Love is something you do!”

The “backside of the desert…”

We all love to be with the Lord by the cool waters flowing or on the mountain top! We love to walk with Him through the forest and see the wonder of our great God! When Moses was caring for his father-in-law’s sheep, for some reason, he led his flock “to the backside of the desert.” God could have chosen a more beautiful place for this special occasion. For after all, the Lord was getting ready to call Moses for the biggest job the world has ever heard of… leading the Israelite slaves through the desert on a 40-year trip through hostile tribes to their promised land! You may be “on the backside of a desert,” but don’t be discouraged! God is with you! He just needs to get your attention so you will be ready when your blessing comes!! Hang in there! Something good is about to happen!! Sherry

Today at the Marketplace!

GWO MACHE MIRAK TODAY!

Gwo Mache Mirak has 330 vendors (machanns) who sell in the market, mostly little food items. The bottom has fallen out of the economy here. Hardly anyone has any money. We wanted to bless all the hard workers at the market who have been faithful with 71,680 Feed My Starving Children meals! Each box should last each family for a month. Love is something you do!

Thank you, Pastor Jentezen Franklin for the $10,000 that covers the shipping of these meals to Haiti. We also thank you for the $1,000,000 donation to help build Gwo Mache Mirak.

Our Little, Big Girl!

This little five-year-old sweetie will be going to first grade. We found her discarded on the road to New Letant. We were going to send her to Social Services, but at that time they had too many children, so we took her in.

Because she was so young she “hung out” with the older girls. She joined the Praise Dance Team early and never missed a step! She is “always getting on to the older girls” when they are not doing their job right!!

Zoey loves dolls, dresses, and “food!” Ha! (We’re going to have to put her on a diet!) She has not decided what she wants to be, but whatever it is, she will do her best!! We all love “Zoey!” Sherry

GOING FORWARD!

In the midst of the gangs and turmoil here in Haiti, we are moving forward! Some of our staff have left due to not having seen their families for two or three months. Many left because they were scared. Most have stayed. The Jesus Healing Center is open, but the Birthing Center can not deliver babies now due to being short-staffed. All the birthing classes are still open every day. The Agricultural Training Center is open, our Radio Station, the Orphan’s Home, plus much more is open.

Today, we will be giving 71,680 Feed My Starving Children meals in this area of people who are desperate for food. Very soon, we will be starting our Feeding Program in the prisons in South Haiti. Matt. 25:40

Thank you for your help and prayers.

Today, we are packing up food, the food we bought in this area to feed 500 families for two weeks every day from Ganthier — who lost their homes to the gangs.

Fond Parisien is calm today. Everyone is looking for the 400 Mawozo gang to come and invade Fond Parisien at any time. It won’t be easy to take down Fond Parisien and Love A Child. We have some big surprises waiting for gangs. We are praying for the gangs who live in total darkness. Oh, if you could taste Jesus just one time!!

Praying for Haiti. We and all the children are fine. Thank you for your prayers from the bottom of our hearts.

Bobby and Sherry

“Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.” 1 Peter 5:7 – Sometimes, we have too much pride and try to carry “the whole load” by ourselves…when Jesus has bigger shoulders than we do! Are you tired of carrying this all by yourself? Turn it over to Him! Have a great day! Sherry
