Today was a great day here in Haiti! We had an Ordination service for Fre Sorrel, who had been pastoring the church in Letant for several years. Pastor Narcisse, our head pastor conducted the service. We were thrilled to have Evangelist David George with us. David and Angie and their partners raised the funds to build this church. In Haiti, a legally recognized ordained Haitian Pastor can only conduct marriages. If a “pastor” performed a wedding and he was not a legally recognized Pastor, he would go to prison! That’s why it is important for Haitian pastors to be educated and fully qualified to be a legally recognized pastor!
