What a heart touching day it was. We traveled to L’Artibonite to the village of Petit Desdunes.

It was here that many years ago, we built our first Love A Child school. But we had heard about a great drought that hit the area of Petit Desdunes. There is no water and the canals that used to bring water to the rice fields, are dry. Animals are dying, children and adults are hungry.

We have been sending enough food each day to cook for this village… 12 large “chodias” a day! We are feeding children and adults daily, as well as school children.

Today, we also distributed food to families. We are trying to find an area to drill for water or to build a water cistern. We will know more about this soon, but in the meantime, we must continue to feed them. God bless you, our wonderful partners for making this feeding program possible.
