Pistache… the Journalist!

I first met Pistache when his father brought him to me during a Mobile Clinic in the mountains. He had Kwashiorkor Malnutrition, and he had no hair, a swollen belly, swollen feet, and his face was swollen too. I sat him on my lap, thinking he was young until his father told me he was 15!

It was a long road to health. Children who have Kwashiorkor Malnutrition, many times will not grow tall. We put Pistache (his real name is Wilner) in school and later in college. He is a devout Christian with a dream of becoming a journalist! Two weeks before Christmas, Pistache was one of our four kids, along with many employees, who were kidnapped and kept for over two weeks! It was very stressful for him.

Now he has a program on our Love A Child Christian Radio Station. You can see him in the picture interviewing one of our Haitian Pastors! Wilner has come a long way and he is reaching his dream of being a journalist!!! God bless all of you who love our children and pray for them! You have given in “good seed!”

PS: The word Pistache means “peanut!”
