Practical Experience at the ATC!

During the 3-week class on sustainable gardening, the students get plenty of classroom time, but they also get a lot of “practical,” hands-on experience too. This builds their confidence in addition to giving them firsthand knowledge. Yesterday, the students were preparing a new garden site, just as they’ll do when they return home. They selected the site, determined what it would take to make it productive, laid it out, worked the ground preparing beds, and finally had their new garden ready for seeds. They did and learned a lot yesterday and experienced very satisfying tiredness last night during dinner and fellowship. They are learning gardening “God’s way.” One of our special donors, “H. Y.” from Fawkner, Australia, has thoughtfully given donations for scholarships and also new tools for the students. These students built this new garden yesterday with their own tools. They are already realizing the benefits of this great experience. God bless those of you who help support this great program.
