“God Answers Prayer…”

As many of our friends and partners know, Djonsly, age 14, had lost his right eye, due to a cancerous tumor. Like the woman in the Bible with the “issue of blood,” and had sought all the physicians, his mother had taken him to many clinics and hospitals in Haiti, with no hope. But, she had such great faith that she would not give up. Someone told her about our Love A Child “Jesus Healing Center.” We knew that any surgery or chemo couldn’t be done here in Haiti, so we found a source in the States… loving, caring doctors and a great hospital. He has gone through several surgeries and chemo for a while.

Now, his doctor reports that he has an 80 percent chance of controlling the tumor over the next couple of years and a 50 percent chance of a cure, God willing. This is great news! So many of you have been praying, and your prayers have given Djonsly and his mother “hope!” The Haitian Creole Proverb says, “Hope makes us live!” Please continue to pray for this wonderful young man, who loves God.
