I am asking everyone to pray for the Victims of the Venezuela earthquake!

If you have never been through a 7.1-magnitude earthquake, you may not realize how horrible, sad, and heart-wrenching it can be. When the earthquake hit Haiti on January 12, 2010, it killed 300,000 people and injured many more. I can still feel the pain of Haiti’s earthquake!

It hit “all of a sudden,” and before we had a chance to get out on the road and help, we saw “thousands” of Haitians walking down our road in Haiti, “not saying a word!” Haitians are always in conversation, so that day and that night was “spooky!” There were thousands of them “just walking” down the road in front of our Love A Child compound, “not saying a word.”

We got into our truck to see how we could help. A father was on the side of the road “talking to his son,” who was “buried under piles of concrete!”

He kept telling his son that help was coming, but we knew it would not get there in time. Tears were running down my face because there was “no” help coming.

This is why our hearts are so sadly touched by the victims of the Venezuela earthquake. Unless you have been through something like this in a “third world country,” it is hard to comprehend it all.

Let’s all pray for the families and the victims of the Venezuela earthquake.
