Praying for Nini…

We moved to Haiti 33 years ago. We were “so poor”… we found a house to rent up in the mountains, but it had no electricity. We had to find a lady who knew how to cook on charcoal. The lady who was washing our clothes by hand said, “If you find someone to wash clothes, I can cook for you.” (Her name was Nini, left. The one on the right is Tikline, who came to work with us later).

For years, we had no electricity, and the gas stove we had was broken. So Nini cooked for us on charcoal until we could afford another stove. Later, when we began doing Mobile Medical Clinics, Nini cooked for us, and some of you may remember her. She and Tikline stayed with us till we moved to Fond Parisien.

Nini has had serious breathing problems for the last two weeks. We thought we were going to lose her. We sent her to our clinic and then to a Hospital near us, but she needed “advanced care.”

We had to send her by truck, through a dangerous area, in order to get her to a heart doctor. He transferred her to a hospital immediately. She is at her home now, and we ask you to pray for her…

… especially those of you who have been to Haiti.

She loves Jesus more than anything in the world. Thank you.

Blessings,
Sherry
