Preparing for the Peyi Pouri Mobile Clinic

We have been working very hard to prepare a huge Mobile Clinic for the people and children of Peyi Pouri. We found out a long time ago, if we do a lot of preparation in advance, we can treat more sick men, women, and children.

The people of Peyi Pouri worked hard for about a month, “fixing the washed-out road” (the only road), to where our Mobile Clinic will be in Peyi Pouri. We had given hundreds of people from the Peyi Pouri church a large sack of rice and money in an envelope, for all their hard work! They did a great job!!

We wish to thank all our Haitian staff, who have already taken “four huge truckloads” up to Peyi Pouri full of medical supplies, medicines, tents, tables, etc. (There are no motels in Peyi Pouri! Ha!). All our drinking water, food, etc., has to be transported up. Our target deadline is to leave on Wednesday, February 26th, if everything goes well. We will be taking six of our Haitian doctors, some nurses, two midwives, along with some of our older Haitian children, to do the Mobile Clinic (it is not safe yet, for us to bring in Americans for a Mobile Clinic). Evie Ostrander, the wife of Mark Ostrander, has been my best friend, and she will help me with wound care.

Jessica Lackey, one of our new missionaries, will be in charge of the pharmacy. She and her husband, Doug, have been a great blessing to us. We are praying that God sends us other couples, who are really “called” to the mission field.

We will really miss “Kaeli,” our young missionary, who had to finish another year of college. She was always such a great help and we all love her very much!

We always depend on prayer and faith in God! Thank you, partners, those of you have helped sponsor Mobile Clinics, and thank all of you for your prayers! Bobby and Sherry
