January 1st represents Haitian Independence Day in Haiti. The traditional meal for New Year’s morning is pumpkin soup full of vegetables, root plants, meat, and Haitian pumpkins.

The Love A Child team toiled all night on the 31st of December to serve 289 prisoners in Anse a Veau pumpkin soup on New Year’s Day! Hubert, you and your team are the best!
