Raphael has been with us since he was a little boy. He and his siblings are from the Cap-Haïtien area. One day, his aunt brought Raphael and his sisters to us, begging us to take these three children because they had lost their parents.

We thought about it and took them in. Raphael is 13 and in 9th grade. His favorite pastime is the electric guitar. He loves to play in the children’s service at night. (He still plays “a little loud.”) But, he loves music and is good at it!

He used to want to be an artist until I told him there are too many gangs in the streets, and no tourists, and no one to buy art! So, he would be a “starving artist!” He decided to think things over. This is a good kid! Obedient and never in trouble. Let’s see what doors open for him! We love Raphael!
