I can remember the day when young Raphael’s aunt arrived at our orphanage with three children… Raphael and two of his sisters. She explained how their parents had died in drowning accidents when their flimsy boat had overturned. (Haitians panic easily so I did not question her further.) Raphael and his two sisters came to live with us. Like his sisters, Raphael is very intelligent and hard-working. He is quiet and plays the drums and bass guitar at our orphanage’s nightly service. He is always ready and willing to help! Raphael is in High School and when he finishes, we may have a new “plumber!”
